Tianchan Chen is a researcher at the Alfred Institute for Electronic Arts, a member of the Talent Development Committee of the Zhongguancun Artificial Intelligence Research Institute, the leader of the Artificial Intelligence Art Working Group, and the Artistic Director of the Shenlan AI Center. He holds a Master of Electronic Arts from Alfred University, a Bachelor of Mathematics from the University of Wollongong and Undergraduate in New York University. Tianchan Chen is an AI artist, cognitive scientist, and international curator who currently living and working in Beijing, China. His AI art, digital images, immersive spaces, and interactive video installations have been exhibited in various international exhibitions, including the Sotheby's Institute of Art, the Herbert F. Johnson Museum of Art, the Robert Turner Art Center, the TSI Harlan Snodgrass Gallery, the Kunstmuseum of Bonn University, the China National Convention Center, the National Center for the Performing Arts, the China Print Museum, the Zhejiang Art Museum, the Jiangsu Grand Theater, the Shijiazhuang Art Museum, the Shenzhen University Art Museum, the Guardian Art Center, the Aitao Art Center, the Shenlan AI Center, and the Wang Xiaohui Art Museum. On January 11, 2024, Tianchan Chen's AI art work "Bahuang" was carried into space by a satellite to orbit the earth, becoming the first AI art work in the space. |
