| About: | |
The Art of Hybrid Intelligence Lab (AoHI) is a collaborative creation laboratory composed of faculty and students from the Art and Technology direction of the School of Design at the Central Academy of Fine Arts, led by Professor Fei Jun. It aims to explore the possibilities of art in the forefront of nature, society, technology, and culture from the perspective of "hybrid intelligence." The deep entanglement between humans and technology is intensifying, and the absolute separation between humans and the "non-human" has long collapsed. The life relationship between humans and all things needs to be reconstructed. The concept of "intelligence," originally mainly used to describe "Homo sapiens," is constantly being refreshed, and "intelligent agents" are continuously extending from human intelligence to artificial intelligence, machine intelligence, natural intelligence, planetary intelligence, and other intelligent carriers to be discovered, giving rise to new "hybrid intelligent agents" such as human-machine hybrids, human-object hybrids, and object-machine hybrids. "Hybrid intelligence," as a new form of intelligence, will constantly intersect with human consciousness heterogeneously, thereby achieving a common discourse to communicate with all things in the world. Through the collision of art and science, it expands horizons and imagination, breaks existing cognitive frameworks, and jumps out of the pattern of understanding the world and constructing rules based on anthropocentrism. The laboratory has built a joint interdisciplinary platform with many domestic and foreign colleges and scientific research institutions, focusing on the theme of "hybrid intelligence," to express what kind of future life forms and ecological relationships hybrid intelligence may construct between humans, nature, and the universe through the creative method of integrating art and technology. |
