    Dr. Gao is a researcher and doctoral supervisor at the School of Arts, Peking University. He received his B.A. degree in Computer Science from University College London, U.K., in 2007, and his Ph.D. degree in Computer Science from Peking University, China, in 2018. He was supported by a postdoctoral fellowship from Tsinghua University from 2018 to 2020. His papers have been published in the international top conferences and journals, such as ACM Multimedia, IEEE Transactions on Multimedia, etc. Some research results have been adopted by relevant industries, such as Chinese Painting Comparison System using by China Artists Association, Artron Group, and some other organizations. Up to now he received many awards by his contribution in the computational art field, such as 12th China Art Power List Annual Art Exploration Award, the German iF Industrial Design Award, and so on.

    Dr. Gao's main research area is the interdisciplinary of art and science & technology, exploring the application of artificial intelligence in education, art, health and other fields in the future life of human beings. In 2013, Dr. Gao founded the "Daozi AI" art team. In 2024, Dr. Gao together with the School of Arts at Peking University and iFlytek, founded the Computing Art Lab to promoting the integration of technology and art, and exploring the innovation of traditional Chinese cultural resources in the era of artificial intelligence.
