HOW Art Museum (Shanghai) is pleased to present Chen Wei: Good Night from March 27 to June 11, 2021. Stage setting and scene construction have remained a key element in Chen Wei's photography and installation. In recent years, he has constantly explored new possibilities of these approaches and managed to introduce them to the viewers at the site of exhibition through ingenious arrangements of photographs and multimedia installations.

The exhibition will feature New City series, a project initiated by the artist in 2013, and a few of his recent works, including New Station and Glass/24 Hours, as latest extension of his previous investigation. Over twenty pieces of photography and installation will be put on display, which collectively foster an intriguing sense of ambiguity and poetry. Under the curtain of night, the artist leads us to embark on a journey into the imagination of cities and the state of the individuals living in it.
